MBC terms, Part 1

Like any group, over time you develop your own special language.  My MBC has a couple of terms that I'll use that might not make any sense.  So here for the first time is the list of terms, and how they came about.

Warlock - A negative unit of scoring your enjoyment of a song or album.  The worst possible score is 5 Warlocks.  That is right up there with nails on a chalkboard.  The scoring version of a kiss of death (but not to be confused with the Dokken song, that rocks).
Example:  "Man!  I give Lulu 5 Warlocks!  Don't mention that one again!"
Source:  One of our early sessions, Bad Jimmy wanted to (rightfully so) review an older band to see where they fit into the continuum of metal.  He picked... Warlock.  As it turns out, their style, while important in the history of Metal, was totally NOT the kind that our group liked.  In fact several people rage quit the album, not finishing it.  It was so bad, that any bad song, even by a great band, could get the infamous "Five Warlocks".  (Looks at Heart of Darkness by Maiden).  Meant humorously, not completely to be taken seriously.  But never taken lightly.  You only whip out a Warlock when it's REALLY bad.

A Sound Off - A compare and contrast session between two albums by the same band, or two albums by two separate bands.
Example:  "This week is a Sound Off between "Persistence of Time" and "Worship Music".
Source:  I make up crazy terms for things.  Plus "Compare and Contrast" is just a lot to say.

A Danzig Story - A true story (probably) about something Metal related that is just way to crazy to be repeated, but too awesome not to be shared ONCE.  No, I won't be repeating the Danzig story.
Example:  The A1 steak sauce story from Dave Mustaine's autobiography.  If you've read it, you know what I mean.  No I won't be repeating it here.  Get the book and learn it yourself.
Source:  We were doing a great review called Punk:  Metal's Bastard Child and Danzig's Misfits was in the list.  CP had to share a story.  A wild, bizarre, sick and twisted true story that is everything metal and more in one five minute story.  We couldn't stop laughing, and wanting to hurl.  Thus was born a term.  And seriously, I'm not going to tell it to you, so don't ask, and don't ask CP about it.  But if you know anything about Danzig, you can probably make up your own and get close.
